Welcome to KIDS IN MOVIES!

Glad you’re here! Please visit KIDS IN MOVIES often. You will find everything you need to get your wonderfully talented child(ren) into acting and into the business. You’ll learn about acting everything from a to z, agents, head shots, auditions, callbacks, booking roles, school on set, unions, traveling, money, etc. You’ll get awesome free articles, reports, resources and a trio of blog posts every week (including Ask Mom Mondays). Come by for free monthly downloads, recommendations to great books and my overview of my extensive 8-ebook set ‘The Child Actor Series’ which covers Extras, Getting Started (as a child actor in film acting), Chaperones, Commercials, TV, Movies, Voice-Overs and Theater. And there’s much more coming your way on KIDS IN MOVIES including other informative books, guides, audio programs, interviews and so much more.

My sincere intention with this blog is to help you any way I can. I’ve pretty much lived the arts since I was 12 years old as a musician, singer/songwriter, actor, teacher, coach and manager. I love the arts and I would hope every family would give their kids a shot at it. Hey, you never know! Maybe your child will be the next Miley Cyrus, Dakota Fanning or Taylor Lautner.

Currently, I manage my two children. My son is working actor Cainan Wiebe. He has just started his ninth year acting and has been featured on stage, on film and TV, in blockbuster movies, in magazines and newspaper articles and his voice has been heard on TV and radio. My daughter, Hailey Morgan (Wiebe) has gone in a different direction choosing to focus on music as a singer/songwriter and recording artist. However, she started in commercials, on the radio and as a screenwriter.

My kids are my life and I continue to enjoy this ride of unpredictability, disappointment, anticipation, excitement and triumph. In fact, I wouldn’t have it any other way. No matter the age(s) of your child(ren) there’s no time like the present to get them in on the FUN. So, don’t hesitate. Grab the bull by the horns and see what your child’s got. Treat it like your families next great adventure—we have!

So, where to get started? Read through the articles. I’ll be posting a new one every few weeks or so. Make use of the free downloads especially my free report Acting Shams: Don’t Get Duped! that will be delivered to your email box when you opt-in on this page October 1, 2011. I only want you on my email list so I can give you the best information, advice and short cuts to make your acting journey a little less unsure, anxious and a lot less bumpy. I wish there was someone there for me when we started.
